FUNDRAISING

Friends of La Jolla Elementary, Inc. (Friends) is the school’s fundraising group. We are a parent lead non-profit organization that benefits the children of La Jolla Elementary. It is through the generosity of our parents, friends and business sponsors that we are able to support educational programs which benefit all of the students at La Jolla Elementary.

ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN

As we prepare for a new school year, it is time to renew our commitment to an enriched education at La Jolla Elementary. As you know we are a public school and the resources provided by the State are not sufficient to achieve our goals. Each August, we launch an Annual giving Campaign to raise funds that bridge the gap between public funding and the resources needed for an enriched education.

JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Our board is made up of current and former LJES parents with skills relevant to running a 501(c)(3) non-profit fundraising organization. We need people with a variety of skills – such as marketing, sales, legal and finance skills. If you would like to join our board, please contact Elizabeth Van Cliff or Sonal Patel, Joint Presidents of Friends of La Jolla Elementary, Inc.

VOLUNTEER AT THE SPRING GALA

Our annual spring gala is the party of the year and is a “must attend” event. This event requires hundreds of hours of parent power, for jobs big and small. We’ll take any minute you can offer! Contact Katy Hall, Gala Chair to be a part of our Gala committee. This event is a fundraiser, therefore all of our volunteers are asked to purchase a ticket if they wish to attend this yearly sold-out event.
