Spell-a-thon is an easy and effective way to involve family and friends in supporting our children’s education and school. Rather than selling products such as cookie dough or magazine subscription, we ask family, friends and neighbors to sponsor our students on their 50 grade level “essential spelling words”. The benefit of this fundraiser is that our children learn while raising money. They are directly involved in the fundraising process, without having to ask parents to contribute more. Our Spell-a-thon fundraiser kicks off in January during our school’s Family Literacy Days.
