This has been one of the most ambitious years in Friends of La Jolla Elementary’s history. Thanks to the generosity of our families and community, Friends is making a record investment in our school—funding smaller class sizes, exceptional teachers, Art, Spanish, enrichment, and other programs that help every student thrive.

We fund additional teachers, classroom aides, and essential supplies to reduce class sizes and give educators the resources they need to succeed.

We support art, music, and academic programs that inspire creativity, curiosity, and well-rounded development beyond the standard curriculum.
Provide Essential Resources
From learning materials to classroom technology, we ensure students have access to high-quality tools that enhance everyday learning.

LJES SPRING GALA
Dust off your boots and join us for a night of elevated Western elegance, handcrafted cocktails, exciting auction treasures, and unforgettable memories—all benefiting our incredible school community.
ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
The Annual Giving Campaign launches each August to raise much-needed funds that bridge the gap between public funding and the resources needed to provide the programs our children have come to know and love. We target 100% family participation.
FRIENDS BOARD MEETINGS
Friends Board Meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of each month. The meetings are open to all parents of La Jolla Elementary. Please contact the Friends Presidents if you are interested in joining the Board or attending the meetings
ART & WINE FESTIVAL
This year’s festival will feature more than 170 artists from across the U.S. and Mexico and their painting, sculpture, jewelry design, fine glass, ceramics, woodwork, mixed media, and photography.
